WallClimb<\/strong> is a new method of changing the orientation of dancers in the X<\/strong><\/span> , Y, and<\/span> Z<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span> axis.\u00a0 It has its practical use in better displaying a choreographers creative formations by giving the audience a better view.\u00a0 The WallClimb<\/strong> can be\u00a0 enhanced using arm-stretching animations and\/or ribbons or other flashy attention-grabbing, limb-extending particles or attachments<\/p>\n

Juning<\/strong> already reorients but only based on rotation around the Z<\/strong><\/span> axis and it has an AutoJune<\/strong> option<\/p>\n

WallClimb\u00a0<\/strong> allows dancers to reposition themselves\u00a0 and dance and do formations on other surfaces like walls<\/span> <\/strong>and ceilings<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

WallClimb\u00a0<\/strong> involves new scripts,\u00a0 and new entries in notecards.<\/p>\n

There is also<\/strong> an optional script and notecard to be placed in a floor that allows the floor to accompany the dancers as they reorient.<\/p>\n

FIRST<\/strong>, You need to REPOSITION<\/span><\/strong> and reorient your SmartDancer Controller<\/strong> and then CAPTURE<\/strong> that new position and orientation using a new button on the SD menu called CaptureContr.\u00a0 This will usually be 45 or 90 degrees.\u00a0 180 degrees would be dancing on the ceiling.

THIRD<\/strong>, create a command in your SEQUENCE<\/span> <\/strong>when you want the controller to move.\u00a0 The number is the relative occurrence of the Controller-Move<\/strong> regardless of the number in the *animations nc<\/strong><\/span>. The next and subsequent formations will reorient themselves to the new orientation in the same way that Juning<\/strong> does.<\/p>\n

If you want the floor to also move, then place the new Artiste Floor script into your floor. The ChannelForFloor<\/strong> is fixed<\/span><\/strong>. You cant change it.\u00a0 It is owner-only so does not matter if there is another floor with same channel.\u00a0 Clicking on the floor gives you a button called Reset.\u00a0 Use this when you need to change the ChannelFortSmartDancerFollower<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 \u00a0Also if something seems to be stuck, use it.<\/p>\n

After your sequence has played, you can reposition the Controller and Floor<\/strong> if it exists to their home orientation using the new ReHome<\/span> <\/strong>button off the Turns submenu.\u00a0 This also plays the default formations for J-R and A-I.\u00a0 They move at 3.0 seconds so if the last formation is too far away you might receive an error.<\/p>\n
